CR Symposium 2022: The Evolution of Mentoring in Space and Time

On October 20th, as part of the 2022 Champalimaud Research Symposium QuantOCancer took over the final session of the day to host an informal exploration around both finding and acting as a mentor throughout your working life, drawing on experiences from researchers with different lived experiences and at different career stages. We were kindly joined by invited speakers Neta Erez, Sarah-Maria Fendt, Gerard Evan and Ana Luísa Correia, who shared some wisdom and fielded questions from a highly involved in-house and online audience, with Adriana Sánchez-Danés and mentors Laura Silva and Francisco Azevedo also presenting the outcomes of the 2021/2022 edition of the Ciência di Noz Manera local high-school mentoring programme. Going forward, this programme is now funded and run through RAISE project.
